Background to Boogie

After having my second child I simply wasn’t ready to go back to work. It was the Summer of 2016 and I was counting down the days until I was going to have to put my youngest daughter into childcare. It’s a struggle that a lot of working mothers have to face and after 9 blissful months of watching her grow, I just didn’t want to give that up… Shake Rattle & Boogie evolved from a tiny thought – “What job could I do where my daughter can come to work with me?” (Luckily she loves it just as much as I do) I come from a performance & teaching background and I’m very passionate about the importance of learning music & dance from an early age. As a mum of two young children I had been to a lot of classes and thoroughly enjoyed them all. However, what I found quite challenging was engaging in a workshop that was suitable for both my daughters. When I set up my classes I wanted them to be accessible for children of a variety of ages (0-5 years) therefore benefitting parents like myself. From the day I made this life-changing decision I haven’t looked back! I love that my children have played a huge part of my journey so far and I’m excited to see what the future has to offer. My company has already evolved so much in 18 months. It started with a couple of weekly sessions and now I am lucky enough to work in numerous schools & nurseries throughout the academic year. I celebrate special little people’s birthday & christening parties, create seasonal & themed special events as well as running my weekly classes that are growing all the time! I want to thank the parents and teachers for your continued support, because without you this dream would not be possible.
